New Way Hospice

Admission to Hospice and Levels of Care

In order to receive  hospice care, it is necessary that a physician certifies that the illness is terminal and life expectancy should be about 6 months if the disease follows its normal course or as long as needed.

  • Inpatient Care
  • Respite Care
  • Continuous Care
  • (Intensive Care)

Who pays for Hospice, Medications, Medical Supplies and Medical Equipment?

Who pays for Hospice:

  • Medicare/Medi-Cal (for eligible patient)
  • Insurance/HMO’s 
  • Maintenance as a benefit)
  • Private Pay

Who Pays for Medication/Supplies:

  • We provide all medications, equipment and supplies related to our patient’s primary diagnosis in order to manage pain and create a comfortable living space.

Location of Care

  • Patients’ homes
  • Nursing homes
  • Assisted-living communities
  • Long-term care and residential care facilities for the elderly
